How can you tell if a car has a plenum spacer

Hey guys, looking at a 2004 G35 tomorrow and from the pictures I noticed it has a ztube on it, I was like great now I dont have to pay to get one, it also has a double DIN, and subs, so im wondering what else is done and one of the things I was going to add would be a plenum spacer. So how do I see if it already has one? Can you see if I look at where the two halves of the plenum meet and should see 2 seams rather than just one? Thanks guys, hoping to be an owner of a G35 tomorrow.

Should look something like this if it has one. You could also just ask the seller :

^ i found that true as the other day i was looking at a 2005 g35 and i asked thr saleman about oil consumption and he had no idea and said it was the first time he has heard of the issue.

But anyways, i thought i read somewhere that the engine cover does not fit with a plenum spacer installed

^ It's the 1/2" spacer that has some problem with the cover. The usual 5/16" spacer works fine with the cover.

Just leave it off. It destroys the aerodynamics inside the engine bay.

Of course he has never heard of it, he wants to sell you a car. Disclosing known problems only hurts the value and the average car buyer probably doesnt know about the oil consumption problem...
The spacer question has been answered.

very true. He was being an a-hole anyway. only wanted to give me $300 off the sticker price. I gave him a very good cash offer which he refused. I bet if I go back and talk to another salesman, he would accept my offer
