black suade material used in the glove box.

Like the thread title states, where can I buy the black suede material that's used in the glove box. Preferably something a little thick, not flimsy.

For the people without navigation, you get a useless storage area in that location. Well, I use it for CD's. But I want to make something to hold my HTC Evo 4G with a charge plug so I can use the navigation app that's on there when needed. I think it will look kick *** there!

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

I have an EVO as well. What exactly are your plans for going about this project?

I want to make a spot that I can slide the phone into place. Of course I want to incorporate a charger because as you know our phones are battery killers. The slot should be deep enough and maybe slightly tilted up to avoid the phone from falling out on bumps and such. I also want to be able to close the cover like normal when its not in use, and locked in place when opened to prevent it from closing on its own on drives.

I just need to find that material they use in the glove box because first of all, it will look sleeker then normal hard plastic, easier to cut and customize, and it will be soft enough to prevent scratches to the phone.
