Z1 Motorsports...

Hey guys, i was looking at the Z1 Motorsports stage 1 performance package.

I was originaly going to buy an intake, plenum spacer, and test pipes from different companies till i looked at the package.

Little bit cheaper than buying the parts seperately, but are they quality parts and reliable ?

On a side note can someone real quickly explain the differences or advantages of a basic plenum spacer vs. iso thermal vs. copper iso thermal ?
The Z1 plenum spacer seems to be just aluminum...

If you have any feedback its greatly appreciated!

I have limited knowledge on this subject but what I do know is that when I was looking at the plenum spacer I knew I would get the copper iso thermal because those are for cars who reside in a region where its snows/gets cold and also gets hot year round like for me new york where our winters are extremely cold and also our summers are really hot as opposed to like florida where it is just warm year-round.

I dont know about the Z1 perf. package but i am just as interested as you are so will subscribe and try and learn. Also can you post a link to this product. Thnks.

PS heres the link to the MD (motordyne) website here they explain the advantages/differences of the plenums.

Iso thermal has a valve you can open and close depending on the ambient conditions. When open engine coolant is allowed to the upper plenum to warm the TB and when closed it is not. This is in an effort to reduce heat soak. The copper iso thermal is more of a "set and forget" coolant bypass. A copper plate with a coolant in and out and a hot and "cold" side is installed between the TB and the upper plenum. This is recommended in areas where it snows according to MotorDyne.

Z1 makes a good bit of products that are similar to others. The difference is that Z1 finds weaknesses in other products and makes there own. Then they perfect and test it. The result is that you get a product of high quality and that is reliable. Now why is the price so low? Some companies sell products for a high price to fewer consumers. Others sell for a lower price to many consumers. Everyone knows that the fastest way to grow is through word of mouth. Now this is only my opinion. I don't know Z1's business objectives, but I do know the quality and reliable you can find at Z1.
