Tires suck.....

Just got my G and i knew I would need tires....they are a bit bald on the inside....so I bought some like new 80% tred tires....put them on and the road noise is 10x worse...POS tires....so I had to have them put back on the old ones cause I can live with that...

so what 2 tires should i get....looking to go cheap....the ones that were on them were NEXEN.......also would u recommend an alignment?

nexen are cheap and one of the only companies that doesn't have their own manufacturer's warranty. yea u always should get a balance and at least have the alignment checked when getting new tires.

Hankook Evo 12. A lot cheaper than OEM, no noise after 5k like OEM, better gas milages, great control, last longer.

I went through two sets of OEM's then got sick of paying $1500+ for tires every year. IMO one of the best tires on the market(besides super crazy after market performance track tires that you're going to pay 23487x's more for). LOL had to through that in there so I don't get flamed for saying they are the best.

Tires don't suck. I'd rather have them than not.

i gotta agree with this. I just got some Hankooks and i love them. No road noise, smooth ride, nice grip, and price was great. I will def buy them again.

If youre in socal i can refer you to a place where you can get them really cheap.

What sucks is buying a nice ride and then throwing junk tires on it, and then complaining about it! If you couldn't afford quality rubber you shouldn't be driving a Infiniti G35. Think about this, "Your life may depend on what's between you and the road!"

........you can be serious, Michelin's shouldn't be allowed in the same sentence as those entry level tires you mentioned. All the automotive races world wide use Michelin's because they're far superior to all other tires. You are DaKiiD....

2 things you should never cheap out on for your car are braking components and tires.

I used to run Bridgestone Potenza S03 Poleposition IIs but they were discontinued.
Now I'm running some Michelin PS2s and they're quite excellent for both road noise and comfort. They are pricey but mine have lasted quite a while (20K+ miles)

so after I had them put back on the old tires the road noise is pretty much gone...looks like they may have out the inner tread wear to the outside....may just stick with these until they get worse.

Nitto Invo only sets of tires Ive been running they are quiet & smooth plus they performed perfect on the road. And you can get a set all around for about $640.

so true i have evos and i love them! theyre great handling tires and last. not bad road noise either and they were rated better than most tires that are 400 a piece. my rears were like 550 total for 2 and just bought two for the front and that was another 490... hankook makes good tires though
