Ok so I put down a 1k deposit on a 05 IP G35 5AT Coupe with sport, aero 2 (no spoiler), premium, and NAV back in august...

And fast forward to today, I got a call from the sales rep saying that my car will be shipped from Japan in 2 weeks and it would take 2 more weeks to transport and 1 week to clear custom. This means I probably won't see the car until mid December... I know they've already got 05s on the lot, and finding out my car is not part of the 1st shipment really bites when I've been waiting since august... Do you think the dealership drop the ball and forgot to order the car?

Is there anyone else in my situation still waiting for his/her 05 to arrive knowing that there're already some on the lot?

 

i'm sure you're not alone, but your situation is precisely the reason i decided not to order and take my chances with whats in stock...

depends what time in august you ordered also... if it wasn't in the first week, then most likely your order didn't go in until September. If thats the case then it should be September build and shipped in October getting here in Nov... At least i think thats what it is...Did you get a VIN already?

its always a toss up though depending on shipping, etc. My 05 has a build date of september and it made it here by Oct. 29...

When in august did you place your deposit. Orders were placed the first week of august. If you missed the dealers deadline to place an order then your order would have gone in the first week of september

also the ones on the lot are they already sold or not? IF they are then it could have been a problem of allocations and other customers had priority over you.

best thing to do: question the dealer on why you have to wait so long and see what they say

same position bro.i ordered mine supposedly first week of August and i just talked to my dealer he said mine should arrive first week of December. O well. Ive waited this long wuts another 3 weeks
