I was planning on getting an 05 in the next week, but someone may have bought it and theres a couple of 04s in my area. I was just wondering is there any type of performance/horsepower difference between the two years? I'm probably getting an auto since I live around A LOT of traffic. Also, any other differences? I saw the thread about the exterior differences.

 

The Infiniti Help website lists the specifications for the different years. It has a lot of good information.

Since you are looking at an automatic, I believe the engines are the same.

I think the interior was upgraded in 05. If you search, you should be able to find the differences.

The 05 has a much better interior as things were redesigned for the '05. The 03-04's have known issues with oil consumption, and the stereo/A.C. failing. The 03-04's had the option of Brembo Brakes which if you're getting an 04 I highly recommend simply because if you frequent the site, you'll want them eventually. The 03-04's had a spoiler that pretty much no one liked. The 05 seemed to be better received, though not as much as the 06.

 

Nevermind, I searched google and found a thread like this one on this site that didn't show up in the search on this site. Thanks for the info. But would you guys buy a 103k 2005 G35? I found a stick 05 with less miles that I will look at too. Just gotta have a back up.

 

'05 doesn't have the same spoiler as 03-04?
