Squeaks and rattles are covered only for 12 months 12,000 miles-don't wait if you have one get to the dealer right away!

 

A good dealer will still do the work though. Ithink all my rattles were fixed after 12k and I just had one don recently at 30 or so.

 

If you do your service with them they will-I'm leasing so oil changes and air fliters is all I'm going to do on the car. I leased for 48 months and 60,000 miles.

phewwww......whats up with all the rattles in the G i got 5k miles and already getting rattles coming from the glove compartment

 

Hey G35scbkny, your problem might be coming from the left, passenger air vent, just to the right of the top compartment where the Nav dvd reader is. Just press on the vent a couple times and you'll know if thats the problem. If it is, its a very simple fix.

Just put some felt tape on the left side wall of the top compartment door, just enough so it lightly pushes on the side wall of the vent. And thats the end of that noise.

 

Opps.. I meant just to the left of the top compartment!

Why members sure don't want to buy a used car that was leased!

Not to say it's bad to not spend EXTRA [wasted] money on a car you don't plan to keep long.

Wish there was some EQUITABLE way to compensate leasees to spend more money so that off leased cars would be a better deal.........tranny flush, diff oil change, brake fluid flushes, power steering flushes, AC compressor oil change. But almost no one pays an extra $600 for a car where those services were performed even though it will save them more in the future.

The manufacturers drive to make cars APPEAR maintenance free just hurts the used buyer.

The G35 is covered pretty well for 36 months. I just had breaks and squeaks fixed at 16K... No questions or problems. They had a brand new loaner car waiting for me.

Try another dealer. Sounds like yours is giving you the run around.
