Scraped Front Bumper

So I miscalculated my ride's height, and it scraped as I was leaving someones driveaway (its like a mini hill from the driveway to the roaditself).

Here's the damage:

The scratches aren't that deep. The surface is still relatively smooth. You can't tell/see it unless you are from a distance, and you can't see the messed up border damage underneath it...

It actually looks worse in the pics than it is in real life, but anyways, whats the best way to repair this? Any help would be appreciated.

If its not that bad and the scratches aren't terribly deep you might try wet sanding and polishing it. Other than repainting it you might try some touchup paint.

Mine is way worse than that, if your not extremely careful it tends to happen quite a bit if you live in hilly areas.

lol I've been wanting to get the lip for a while, but wouldn't having a lip = more likely to scrape it even more?

Yea the touchup paint is what I had in mind. Where does one get it? (dealership?) and how much is it?

A lip either OE or aftermarket is a good idea since they lengthen the profile of your G or if you don't want to spend the $ clean that area and hit it with a high speed buffer and some compound then polish. Not difficult to fix and you have choices. If you intend to use tough up paint the stealerships sell it somewhere between $8 to $12 and normally don't have it in stock....needs to be ordered.

There are the codes.. Now find your code and head to Ebay. I paid about $15 for my OB touch up pen last year. Comes in handy for small problems. I can't say I've ever tried doing anything bigger then rock chips, but I don't see why it wouldn't work on your scratches as well. One side of the pen is the color, the other side is clear coat. When it's applied correctly it literally completely erases blemishes.

Here's as good of a place to start as any...

Woah thanks. Is this like a pen alternative for touch up paint? Or is the touch up better.

I haven't used it so I can't comment on quality, but the pen has paint on one side, and clear coat on the other. Sounds like a good idea though.

I've never tried anything other then the paint pen... But its an official solution from nissan and has worked well for me. Like I said though i've only tried it on chips, and not scratches.... Obviously a new lip would probably be the best solution, but also the most expensive. Still.. A touch up pen comes in handy and I recommend it.

Use dr colorchip... you will be happy with the results. The third day I had my nismo front on I was backing out of my driveway and heard it scrape for the first time... Luckily it wasn't anything like yours.
