Check the classifieds for 5/16 MD Spacers. Tend to go a bit cheaper. I'm taking mine off this Sunday if Shane's willing, probably going to have LightsOut's HR Y-Pipe (from 06 350z - one of the originals in the thread years ago) on sale too.

forget the intake. save for HFC/TP's. they'll give you a nice power gain and amplify the sound of the exhaust. It'll sound sick

I know I have seen in the forums the difference between intakes. z tube/pop charger vs cold air vs stock, were the french toast is that thread...yes I have searched. Basiclly I am looking for 50/50 sound/performance

Per your wonderful expertise. A front lip, what is "normal" per say when buying one...what to look for.
I have searched the forums, and it seems like so much is out there and scattered around my head is starting to hurt.
Strafe told me OEM lip painted 500...

Its getting to be spring time, Ive had my G for a few months, and I am getting a itchy buy finger, but dont want to get screwed on something I wont use

My short plans term plans are
  • 5/16 Plenum Spacer
  • Most likely z tube/pop charger
  • Front lip
  • Remove logo in rear
  • Darker Tint

Long term
  • Wheels/tires
  • Projection headlights
  • Y-Pipes

I know everyone here likes to be honest and say what they want, so feel free to, I am always open to criticism . So...let the thrashing began thanks
Noob or not it's great to have some organized goals and you're off to a great start.

In my opinion for short term, I'd do a K&N drop in with the ztube (or maybe the stillen airbox), otherwise try the rev-up airbox, and a 5/16 spacer, or even their ISO copp 5/16 spacer, I recommend the HR y pipe it has a little better flow and also gives a nice deeper tone than our stock Y pipe, along with HFC's or RTPs, after that search hard and if you can listen in person to various exhausts on our coupes and find one that you like. IF that's as far as you want to go for engine mods- -give it an Osiris tune.

Then for long term,
Wheels/tires that is all on your own since it's personal taste, many on here will recommend Volks, Works, Weds, D2Fordged, HRE, etc- but if you don't want to drop serious money on some decent wheels, you can still find a set used in the Marketplace as people here switch our wheels more often than underwear.
For projector headlights I highly recommend just going with 06 projectors, so far the new aftermarket ones with the little leds and such to me really just take away from the cleanliness in the front end. But again as with many mods- to each their own, right?

Just my input on your list so far, good luck!

PS: I didn't offer front lip advice since I'm not sure if you have sport bumper like me or the non-sport bumper. Either way I'd hit up StrafeAutomotive since they have some great deals going on right now for both.

Thanks for the input.

My ztube and stillen box comes in Friday...lip should be done today or tomorrow.

I've been researching wheels like crazy and I know I don't want to drop tons of money into them. Ill just keep searching the market for a good deal. Its my everyday car so they don't have to be flashy.
If I go from 17s to 19s will I need anything special done to the springs etc? Lowered?

I will go with the 06 lights just cause of cost.
Glad I don't have a wife anymore to nag at me about buying this stuff...

one of the first things id do is springs or coilovers whichever one u can afford. esp if ur gonna get wheels ur gonna need to drop it so it doesnt look all goofy.
