Quote: No offense, man.... but make your money work for you. 6% match on 401k's, large cap stocks are pushing 6-7% as well, etc.

3.5% car loans are being given away for credit scores over 740, so if that's you... don't bust up your savings.

I can't stress enough the need for a back-up load of funds as we're still not out of this yet.

Anyway, it's your call, but I wouldn't buy that car for $8k. Hell, I wouldn't buy that car period.
Good advice and way to put it!

Quote: Honestly I would pass. Front end collision which obviously by the photos more than the front bumper was replaced. The fenders look repainted, the front bumper is a different lighter shade. In 2003 you were unable to get the car without brembo's that I know of, so were are the brembo's. The gas door looks like it was repainted since it is too dark. There should also be a clear plastic thingy in front of the rear tires unless he removed it, or the body shop did more work that the front bumper. The exhaust does not look straight either. I would say pass 10k reconstructed title no good. According to KBB for 14k you can get that same G in fair condition.
The car is an automatic. Only 6MT G's came with Brembos.

OP: I think that story about drifting is BS, unless he hit something.

Also, considering you said it's the front right that has issues, and if you look, the bumpers does not line up with the quarter panel on that side. On the drivers side it lines up fine. This makes me thing it was a front end impact primarily on the passenger side, which accounts for the wobbling.

Very rarely is wobbling from a unbalanced tire/wheel (most tire places get it right these days), it's usually a problem with the axle. And with a reconstructed title it's almost too obvious...

Quote: unfortunately, most 03 and 04 coupes sell for around $16k - $18k here in Oregon
How much is a transportation fee?

03 and 04 coupes in Atlanta are a lot cheaper...

76k miles for $11,999 for example.

95k miles for $11,999 as well.

I did an autotrader search for 100 miles around 30360. I am sure someone in Atlanta can go look at a car for you for a small donation.

How much to transport to Oregon? $500? $1000?

Or one-way ticket it, look at 4-5 cars over a weekend and drive one home. Road trip !!!!!

Why would you do this to your wife? The G coupe already has a ton of problem. Imagine the crap that she will have to go through with a rebuilt G coupe. She will be at the shop getting her car fixed more than enjoying the ride.

Also, if you look at the interior, it's missing something. I'm surprise no one caught it. There is a HUGE gap in the dash. It's missing a METAL STRIP. Must have been a HUGE FN accident.

Here is a pic of my 06 interior. http://img197.imageshack.us/img197/6681/sdc11970g.jpg

^^ I wouldn't not buy a car because it's missing the trip dash pieces. Those could be missing for a few reasons, and I'm not sure a front end collision is one of them.
I would avoid the car he was looking at though...

You have stains on your floor mats btw

Yeah I wash washing the car during in that pic. To avoid future headaches and problems, I would go else where. Maybe an IS350 or 2008 Acura TL.
