My 03 coupe randomly sputters or runs rough. Today when it was doing it the SES light came on then went off when the motor smoothed out. It does it in all rpm ranges but the car still drives. Sometimes when the idle is rough ill blip the throttle a little bit and it smoothes out.

Im thinking it could be a dirty MAF or TB. Im running a Ztube 5/16 spacer ART pipes and a M2 performance cat back. Any ideas what the problem could be?

 

Could be the MAF and/or TB. Also check your plugs, replace with ones directly from Nissan / Infiniti dealership.

 

I figured id swap the plugs out too. Its an 03 with 56k miles on it. It wouldnt hurt if i cleaned the maf and tb also.

 

I ran a scan today and it said misfire in cylinder 3. It ran rough again but corrected itself once again. I have a feeling i wont know whats causing it unless i scan it while the SES light is on.

 

sounds like the spark plug did you take it out and look at it?

 

Not yet. If im gona do that then i might as well swap out all the plugs.

 

I have 05 g coupe and 1 day my car started to sputter and was idling rough. I took it to dealership next day and had diagnostic test. My MAF read @ 120
