Re: Cheapest place to get Pilot sports?

I'm about to replace all 4 on my Coupe, and will probably go with the BF Goodrich g-Force T/A KDW 2's. A lot cheaper, better ratings at tirerack, and supposed to have excellent wear life. Hell, for $178 for a stock 18" rear, and $168 for a front, definately looks worth it. Almost $70 per tire savings.
Here's a pic:

Most places will not give you a road-hazard warranty on Pilot sports... i got mine for $275 at Belle Tire they pricematch Discount Tire Company's price.

My advice: Replace both but keep the good one and put it in your basement incase you have another blow-out, you'll have a spare used tire

Re: Cheapest place to get Pilot sports?

If you have a Discount Tire available you can buy the road hazards from them even if the tires are stock from dealer. If something happens to one it's covered in full and not Prorated like some places will screw you over. I paid like $40 bucks a tire but it's good to know I can get that replaced for such a small investment. Your ride will be thrown off a bit especially if you're auto x because of the tread height difference. My VDC went nuts for a while when I replaced the rears because they were softening up and after a while it will be all good.

It's all about da G.......

The G35 isn't exactly very expensive for the cool stuff they had on it (ie Brembo's, Pilot Sports..) That's why both of those are no longer available on G35's.. Cutting cost because most people who bought the G (non-enthusiasts) didn't care for either.

Black / Black 2004 GcoupeMT. Premium. Splash Guardz.

The same happened with mine when i got new rear-tires... VDC kept activating (brakes came on by themselves) on my every-day onramp. It did it 3 times so after a few days it was back to normal with the new tires.

Rambo, they were messing with your VDC beause they were new. My Pilot sports need about 200 miles before they started to work properly. Consider it a break-in period
