Dealer Service Question
Dealer Service Question
Has anyone taken their G35 to the dealer for service with the cats removed and the test pipes installed? If so, did the dealer make an issue of it? I need to take my G in for service and I am contemplating re-installing the cats before I do. By the way, my G is still under the factory warranty.

Re: Dealer Service Question
It will totally depend on how 'friendly' your dealer is with mods. Mine is ok as long as they're installed well. Other dealers are not compatible with mods whatsoever.
You need to talk to other customers of your dealer.
From what you've described, having no cats is a major mod and I'd guess that my dealer would comment negatively on it.

Re: Dealer Service Question
I would replace the factory cats. If something happens down the line they will try and blame the test pipes. Not to mention test pipes are probably illegal in your state.
