I blew out a tire last week, I need to find the best price on a 255/40/19 michelin pilot sport? tire rack want sover $300. Can I just replace one? the other has about 12k miles on it + 3 track events. its in good shape but I was wondering if I would have problems with one being new?

Get them as a set. Tire Rack is generally the best...

Why do people driving 35K cars have a problem with spending a little bling to keep up with the needs of the car?

Why do people assume $300 spent somewhere else can't be more valuable to that person?

Tires and brakes are the most important things on the car.

Too many people are buying cars they simply cant afford to maintain.

I have the Tire and Wheel replacement too. Do you think they will actually give you a new pair of tires when you blow them? I got it cuz i they gave me a discount on the package, but it almost sounds too good to believe.

Re: Cheapest place to get Pilot sports?
what are the terms and limitations to the Infiniti tire and wheel replacement program? I bet it is only for accidents/road hazards, not driver carelessness like scraping a wheel on the curb.

Let us know....if it covers curb rash, I may get it. how much did u get it for?

Re: Cheapest place to get Pilot sports?
he didn't say he couldn't afford it...he just doesn't feel like spending 300 bucks to pay for ONE tire....

just like if you blew your transmission and had to replace it for thousands......who would be saying "if u cant afford to replace the parts..dont get the car"...

sorry..thats just absurd to say

Re: Cheapest place to get Pilot sports?
we got the same program for my sisters Mini Cooper and she hit a curb and got a flat tire and bent wheel and they replaced the whole thing for free

i think it was around $200 for the G35 tire and wheel replacement program

Re: Cheapest place to get Pilot sports?
Yup,

they do replace the tires. I blew one out and the company replaced the dealer cost which was 300-350 bucks last winter.

But it's not infiniti that provides this - it's an external company that only certain dealers sell - but they will cover work at any infiniti dealer.

To the OP (original poster), just remember to save the receipt and if anything else happens to your car this year, you may want to submit it to the INS company to go towards your deductible.

Also, I know some tire shops offer road hazard insurance, about $15/tire, so you can get a new tire at a pro-rated cost instead of eating the entire cost.
