05 Sport Sits Lower?

Has anyone who has or has seen the 05 G35 with the Sport Option 19" wheels been able to determine if that model sites lower than say an 04 with the 18" wheels? (amount of space between tread and top of wheel well)

Not sure if it is actually lower (as I read somewhere), but
it's begging to be lowered.

I asked my salesman this question when I got my 2005 with SS and aero kit and he said "no". But, what does he know?

well, you figure that it's supposedly the "aggressive" suspension for better performance. so i would assume as others have guessed that it may just be the 350z suspension which was about a half inch to an inch lower. i've seen the '05 5at with sports package and it does appear slightly lower.

From what I was told the supsension in the sports model for the 2005 is a the same hight but better in all aspects meaning its more luxurious and more sportier than the past models.

Re: 05 Sport Sits Lower?

that seems odd, but what do i know: )~ actually, i have a '03 5at and noticed when i visited the dealer recently that the '05 5at with sports package/suspension did appear slightly lower. i (and other members) have always noted the somewhat larger than desired gap in the wheel-well. that gap in the wheel-well appears smaller now. perhaps it could be that the larger 19" wheels give that appearance. however, i would think that the aspect ratio being adjusted, the overall diameter of the wheel/tire would be the same.

unless i go next to a 03 or 04 coupe, i can't really tell... if it is lower then its not significant enough... it is begging to be lowered but in the streets I drive, i don't think i can afford that...

Re: 05 Sport Sits Lower?

couldnt it just be because of the 19 inch rims? i would assume that it would make the gap look smaller...
