03 G35 FS: APS Extreme TT BUILLLLT by GTM Opinions...

It does looks kinda fishy to me. He has over $100k invested in his car but can't get such small problem addressed. What looks fishier to me is that he has well over 100k invested but is riding on Axis wheels. None of this is really making any sense to me..
If I were you, I'd pass. IMO you are better off with a stock G than a fast TT G that you cannot even drive around.

Horrible idea. You have a running vehicle you're gonna trade for a non running one? That in and of itself is dumb. Then on top of it, as was mentioned earlier, this dudes been jamming money into this car like Charlie Sheen and a room full of **** stars, yet he cant dump a few more dollars into this "oh so simple" security key issue? This aint fishy, this is straight up red lobster.
ANY time someone selling a car starts a statement with, "Oh, its just....." friggin run. If it was "just" something, the owner would have fixed it. You're gettin scammed homey. Take your 14k and get a legit used G from a dealer. Not someones headache.

Without the engine running you'd have no way to know if the turbos are blown or on their way out. APS is known for the turbos blowing oil...
If it were me..
1. Do a compression test and send an oil sample to blackstone -- this will tell you what shape the engine is in with 100% certainty.
2. If he doesn't get it running, then also have the turbos inspected -- price to rebuild/replace them will cause jaw droppage.
Any remaining electrical issues shouldn't be too hard to deal with $$ wise.

Just an update: I ended up trading my '03 5AT for this car. After closely looking the car over, and calling to verify what was in the car with GTM, I deemed it worth snagging. Absolute worst case scenario, the block/top end were ****ed and Id just part the car.
Took me 2 weeks of tearing through the wiring (gutted the interior and dash, traced out the suspect circuits through the harness), but I got her running and she absolutely rips. Turns out there was a really nasty short in the rear of the car where the exhaust hangar was stabbing into the power wire to the evap solenoid. That wire happened to also power the ECU and coil packs. (IGN CONT ECCS circuit). After replacing that stretch of wire, a blown ECU ($200), and all six coil packs ($240), and resetting the NATS (factory immobilizer, $47), she fired right up. Ive been daily driving her trouble free since, it's been ~500 miles with no problems. Good compression, oil and coolant, looks good, no knocking/ticking. Clutch makes a bit of noise, but they're infamous for chatter. Only thing left to do is sell/junk the FCON unit for a Haltech or UTEC and retune.
My only regret is not working that jar of "product" into the deal... Im no drug dealer/consumer, but common sense tells me that could help pay for my Haltech...
Cheers!
