Stock G drives like a boat!
Ok I understand most street cars benefit from suspension / handling mods but what did the OP drive before the G that makes the current vehicle feel like a boat? The g is a heavy luxury/sport vehicle ... I think my stock handling is pretty responsive and it could be improved, but it's adequate for my daily commute, I drove SUV's for 10 years before my G so I might just be to used to the SUV handling!!!
just my 2 cents
just my 2 cents
But i never had any sway bars before - i want to get front and back strut bars like civic but i read that front strut bars are not available on the G?
Also, are there rear strut bars for G?
Sorry guys but i just got my G on monday.. a lifetime of civic owner now a G ..

yes, F and R strut bars are available..
that explains it civics hatches handle great with suspension upgrades, lightweight, short wheel base, very responsive when driven right... Spoon has made a furtune just of that platform by itself.... OP welcome to the G community... Go with the sway bars first , they will help eliminate that felling of roll when changing direction then go with dampening and the if still needed struts bars... I know a magazine used a 350z with stock right height and added sway bars and beefy 18 in wheels with bfgoodridge tires non staggered and were able to pull 1g on skid pad ... They did aftermarket LSD also but not really required for daily driven ... http://www.modified.com/projectcars/...t_2/index.html

Sway bars is prob the easiest which will run you 200-300 for the pair (new)... Hotchkis or MotorDyne.
Do not do springs, struts, etc ... just do coilovers. You'll be happier long term and it will end up being cheaper long term. This can run you anywhere from 1000-2000 for a set (4) if you want good ones (new). Depending on the drop get ready to shell another 500 for front and rear camber kit though (new).
Endlinks are another nice touch and have a big price range.
Check the vendor section or private classifieds for used for a bit cheaper. Welcome!

Have you guys ever used the SPL endlinks? They are great for about 6-8 months until they seize up and then clunk every time you go over uneven ground!
I have a set of new rear ones if anyone want to buy them.

Man i just cant imagine calling the G "Boat" handling granted ive always owned trucks before my G and only sports cars i had driven b4 were Mustangs and camaros. Wanna feel boat go drive a lifted Tahoe
PM me with price shipped. I'm tempted to buy those.
this is a exact replica of my setup lol the g stock handles real well for what it is. what i mean by that is it was never really ment to be a super handling car like the z, sti, evo. i have driven all of those and the g is impressive. cant wait to feel how it handles with all the suspension handling done
Lol. A G handles like a boat? What did you come from? A shifter cart?
The G handles pretty good in stock form for what it is...
I'd recommend Stillen swaybars. My rear one broke and Stillen installed a new one for me no questions asked (I am local to them - they initially did the install on them too).
I'd also get a rear strut bar. Should help stiffen up the chassis a bit and the back end of the G is not really stiff from the factory. I had one and it made a pretty big difference.
As for brake dive, all I have to say is any car is going to have brake dive. Any car that doesn't have brake dive probably has a suspension setup that isn't streetable.
Even our M5 with electronic suspension has brake dive (and the suspension adjusts itself 200 times a second for optimum performance).
