Unhappy Transgo valve body install problem!

Here's my issue. I had the install done by a reputable transmission shop, and then drove it home with no issues. When the car has been parked though and I start it, and shift into drive, it feels like I got rear-ended. There is a bumbing noise and the car tries to move forward. The shifts are amazing though, no issues as soon as it's in drive. If I turn it off for a short time and then shift to drive there is only a small bumb. I have gotten into the habit of reversing first and then with my feet off the gas and brake shifting right before it stops rolling back and it does not "bumb" at all. This works fine except when there is no way to reverse and I'm forced to go straight to drive which makes me cringe. After trying to contact transgo they said that it is normal and I shouldn't worry. Has anyone else had this problem/any idea on what it could be?

i was going to get this installed myself, but this was one of the problems keeping me away i hear it's normal and thats what is supposed to happen. I'm sure someone who has the kit will chime in on this.

ive had my trango for about 3 weeks now and i never felt a bump, however when my transgo was getting installed one of the big bore valves was bent like 3 thousands of an inch so i had to get one overnghted which was no problem however if i play with the gas pedal a little inlow rpms my car will go into this transmission shutoff mode and wont let me go above 1500rpm, i would have to shut the car off and start it back up and the problem will go away . idk but i really dont experience hard shifts or anything

I have hard shifts, but that's normal. Upon very hard accel I hear a light "boomp" but thats like the car being pushed into gear hard.

Nothing I'd be alarmed about personally.

But for your car - not too sure, did the shop misplace a couple of the springs or bearings?
