Driver Side High Pressure A/C Line Repair in Miami
So recently the A/C stopped working in my car (air blows but it's not cold) on my 07 G35 Coupe. Since I have a month and a half of warranty left on my car I took it to the dealer to get it checked out. Well, I come to find that the driver side high pressure A/C line (Infiniti part #92440-AM601) is damaged due to an intake clamp for the z-tube rubbing up against the line that the previous owner installed. As a result it is not covered under warranty and the dealer wants $430 to replace the part, vacate the lines, and replenish the refrigerant.
$430 seems steep to me, but I was looking for some advise from you guys since you are all a lot more knowledgeable than I am. Also, do any of you know any shops in the Miami area that would/could do the work. I just called a couple local places (I live in Homestead currently) like goodyear and what not and they don't seem to want to touch it. So I was thinking maybe there is a good Nissan/Infiniti specialty shop in the area that could do this for a reasonable price. The quote I received was from Danny at South Motors Infiniti.
Thanks in advance for your help!
