Re: Question For Owners of Bat's Taillight Overlays

I have the overlays. as far as how they look, they look very sexy. completely change the look, especially on a black coupe. i was just stupid and tried to put them on myself which resulted in air bubbles i still have : / but none theless they still look damn good. you cant notice the air bubbles unless you stand in the back of my car and look at it from 3 ft away, but does anyone know if i can still have the air bubbles removed by a tining shop?? is it possible?

5AT Coupe, Black/ Black, Chrome 18s, Premium, Aero w/spoiler, Eibach springs, Clear corners, Overlays

3/10 on the side clear corners look cleaner IMO, kind of like the Porsche's out there. It's subtle but noticeable. But then again, just depends on what your tastes are.

Dave from TintZone in hacienda heights did a great job on my overlays today. i'd strongly suggest going to him to get them installed. Very professional. Tell him you are from G35driver.

3 questions for those who have Bat's taillight overlays -

1) Did you go with the GTR style (no cutout for reverse lens), or did you get the ones with the reverse lens cut out?

2) Did you get the full smoked or the lighter 3/10 tint?

3) Was your decision based on looks alone, or was there any practical considerations to your choices?

Want to get a set but not sure which style and tint I should choose for a BS coupe.

Thanks for your input,
Prolix

1) No cutouts, got the original overlays.
2) Full smoked
3) Looks and taillight protection from scratches.

are the overlays one piece? I had bat's tail light overlays on my last celica and if I remember correctly each side was 3 pieces.

Yes, 2 piece kit, but the seam is hardly noticable!

wow, old thread. I will go against the grain. these thin overlays are not something I would ever stick on my car, there are better products out there that are much higher quality - keep looking
