there are several higher end cars down here with that exhaust but with different tips on them..
the worst part of those Ebay systems is the tips suck..
Of course we are in the south where the materials don't rust anyway since we don't get snow or salted roads or salt air from the ocean..

But the gain is exactly the same..
I don't agree with spending 1500 bucks for a brand name and slightly better metal quality when the same effect can be had for 400 max.
I may own a luxury car but that doesn't make me conscience of spending where I don't have to spend.

that's several other mods or 4 car payments.. There are things I wont skimp on.. but this is not one of them. same design same HP gains.. 1000 dollars cheaper.. sold..

 

Don't get too worked up about people hating on x02's. I've learned that you aren't going to change these guys' minds, even if you were to show them a dyno showing that the replica is better performance wise.. They want to defend the extra money they spent, just let them do so. I personally have had my x02 for 3 years with zero problems, but pick whichever one you like. If you don't like replica's just because of the idea, you won't be happy with the exhaust no matter how well it performs.

Depends on your idea of better. HKS definitely has better finish and tips. With the few dynos ever posted x02 has produced more power in general than HKS. Sound totally depends on the ear. It's a give or take in both cases

 

I love my x02. My car doesnt sound like every other nissan/infiniti ever produced with a vq. I get lots of compliments on it randomly from evem non "car people".

I guess at the end of the day its about if i want to brag that i paid $1700 for a HKS exhaust and feel proud that its real and it has ingravings on it. I defentlly think the HKS is better but from what I see there is a 2WHP difference in both exhaust and sound Difference which can be changed by adding a magnaflow x pipe and maybe a HFC. the welds may be different but who is looking at the welds? also the no one see the exhaust except for the Tips all we care about it how it sounds and the performance results so why care about the Name Brand I guess people who have to have the best all the time. I know a dude in ATL the did all cheap upgrades plus the MREVUP and put down 19whp
So there is such a thing it can be done
