Help window stuck down!!!

So rightnow on my way home my window decided to take a s*** on me while rolled halfway down. I already know its a common problem on the G. My question is, is there anyone that knows how to get the window back up for now untill I get the motor replaced? Ps. ITS STARTING TO RAIN! 2004 coupe

Don't suggest this as an everyday thing but there is a little sweet spot where you give a little bang with the bottom of you hand.

It is towards the middle of the armrest. Worked for me when i had to get my window up a while back.

EDIT: I dont know if this works on the passenger side but i know it will work after a little try on the drivers

You could try taking the panel off on the inside and try tinkering with it yourself. Alot of the time the motor isn't really broken.. the connection might be loose or something. So if I were you.. i'd just mess around with it and clean it out before buying a new motor.. because those aren't cheap haha. Well unless you get one at a junkyard.

Either that or you can probably crank it by hand once you take the panel off.

That happened to me shortly after buying the car. It was Jan/Feb timeframe in southern VA and I was at work. The closest dealership was 40 mins away. It was a coooooold drive on the freeway!

If banging on the door doesn't work, you can try closing your door pretty hard. Don't slam it as hard as you can but harder than you normally would. Mine has done it 3 times so far although it went all the way down before getting stuck, and that has worked every time for me

most of the time it's the brushes in the motor that go and cause motors to fail. It's a pretty easy DIY and cost no more than $20 instead of $100+ for a new motor.

This thread has pretty detailed info on brush replacement.

You might just need to take the motor apart and give it a good cleaning. Page 2 on the link above has pictures of the motor apart.

Yeah what sway said it needs a cleaning. Theres someone on here in the feedback section that made a kit you can look it up since hes not a vendor.

When mine went out, I used to hold the window switch up or down (whichever way I wanted the window to go) and shut the door at the same time (hard). That only worked for about a week or so until it completely died.

This link is a video of how to replace your window motor.

All of you that it worked probably had a chunk of dirt in it and just needed to be cleaned. The seals are not the best and they get dirt and corrode. A good cleaning will usually do the trick. If not theres a kit that will rebuild the part that you actually need to replace not the whole motor.

Try putting your key in the keyhold on the door handle, turn it to the right and hold for like 10 seconds.
