I have 20 everywhere and 35 windshield. I would say don't get anything darker than 50 for the windshield. I'm asking for trouble I'm planning on getting 50% or lighter in the future. There's enough things illegal about my car without asking for it. With 35 its great during the day, but it's def too hard to see at night when it's raining.

3% on my rear window and the 2 little ones in the back. Backing up at night in poorly lit areas is challenging to say the least.

Nothing on my driver/passenger side ones due to some stupid-*** law.

I used to have 32%, went to a few meets and saw how much 20% looked better on other G's. Made the switch immediately. Now it's probably one of the best things I've done with the car.

Personally I wouldn't get the windshield tinted. Think of this scenario, lets say you get into a front end crash and something goes through the windshield or just enough to crack it. Police officers will clearly be able to see the tint on your windshield since it'll be deformed and reflect that, and then you can be liable for the wreck and any lives you've put in danger because you were driving an illegal vehicle. All that on top of your insurance denying any claim leaving you on your own because of your illegal tint.

Then again maybe I'm making it too far-fetched...I don't know, but 20% tint on the sides are one thing, tint on windshield definitely is another.

I think its funny how many cops I see driving around with 15 or lower tint on their patrol cars. And its against the law. I think Alabama's tint is no lower then 30 or 35. Not really sure.

But couldn't that go for the front windows as well? I have glasses/astigmatism so I'll have a tint waiver. So that would help in the case of an accident. I'm thinking 20 or 15. I'll do that and see what I think about the whole look when sun comes through. If the tint keeps the dark look at all the angles, then I'll keep the windshield clear. I just can't stand the limo tint strips that some people put on their cars. Especially the REALLY low ones.

15% Sides and rear. In indiana tint law is 35%. Gotten pulled over once, just told cop it was like that when I bought it and he let me off with a warning. I have hear of other cops handing people razors to cut it off if a fix it ticket has already been issued. Its not so strict around here though.

Anyone know what I can do to fix the uneven tint on the rear window matrix? I thought about a black vinyl banner on the interior of the window to get rid of it, but cant seem to find one anywhere...

Reverse in crowded lots is a little nerve racking but not too bad. Great for not being blinded by headlights in the rearview. Bad thing is you cant tell make or model of cars behind you. So you dunno if there is a cop trollin you a couple cars back.

So I guess that always a issue lol. I could just let down my windows for backing up. Unless its raining. Any problems with the 50 on the front?
