What % Tint You Rocking?

I bought my G with tint already on it so I don't really know what % it is. Everyone says its really dark, but once that sun hits that windshield, it looks like I have 50% tint or lighter. I'm gonna get a tint waiver soon, since I wear glasses, then ask a cop if he could tell me what % tint I have lol. I'm leaning towards putting 30% on the windshield to keep the glare and a little bit of the sun out. I just wanted to know what % you guys have and could you post pics. I'll post up more pics of my car from different angles tomorrow if its not storming. Sorry for the 2 week old pics. Not much changed but I took off G35.

Tint on the windshield is a big no-no. Not only from a safety point of view, but from a... do you really want to be ticketed repeatedly because you actually put tint on your windshield pov as well. Unless of course you weren't referring to your whole windshield (though I think you were).

A 2 sec. google search is your friend...

Alabama tint Laws

"Windshield Non-reflective tint is allowed on the top 6 inches of the windshield.
Front Side Windows Must allow more than 32% of light in.
Back Side Windows Must allow more than 32% of light in.
Rear Window Must allow more than 32% of light in. "

http://www.tintcenter.com/laws/AL/

In other words... you can probably safely get by with 30% total tint without the cops hassling you.

I still dont understand why people tint the front windshield....It can actually become a liability.

5% on the 3 rears, 20% on the 2 sides. I'm going to see if my eye doctor can give me a doctors note to have my windshield tinted, if I get it, I will do 50% on the windshield.

I dont know mine exactly, but probably:

Side: 25%
Rear: 15-20%

Having black interior makes it look darker though.

don't tint the windshield you will just attract law enforcement attention. and i can't imagine how hard it would be to see at night. i have trouble seeing my side mirror.

I've driven a 2010 shelby Gt500 a few times with 20% all around including the front windshield, not too bad in the day time, at night it's actually really nice because nothing bothers me more than on coming traffic headlights. I sometimes wear my sunglasses at night, literally from Blublocker.

Thanks everyone, I'll go darker, but unsure about my windshield still. Maybe 50, won't go as low as 30%. Its just so annoying having tint everywhere, but sun glare coming through the front.
