I've found several videos on how to remove the stock stereo, but I bought my G35 with a double din Pioneer already installed so it has an aftermarket dash kit. I need to get behind the stereo because I want to install a PAC steering wheel controller so that I can use the steering wheel buttons with the Pioneer stereo. I want to know if I can get the stereo out easier than the instructions to remove the stock stereo? That's a lot of damn work just to plug in this PAC interface to the back of the stereo! Any help would be appreciated.
I found that video already, but that is removing the stock stereo. I wanted to know since it has an aftermarket stereo and dash kit if there was an easier method on removing it just to get to the back of the stereo.

no. it sucks no matter what stereo it is lol. dont try short cuts you just end up breaking clips, and for the pac module if you solder the resistors onto the module and wires on the other end of the resistors you can just crimp it onto the car and you dont have to mess around in the confined space i found it alot easier this way

only took the shop where I get my work done about 5 mins to get it out though..

+1, even with the aftermarket DD finisher you still have to follow the same rough steps. Take your time and place a blanket down to protect the face of your radio when you remove it. GlOriginally Posted by andrewstclair
