Need quick help with shift knob install plz
Hey guys just received my Nismo Gt shift **** and I was wondering does anyone know a good DIY? I found 2 but they are both for the shift boot and they don't talk much about the shift **** but I don't want to do anything that will harm my transmission. Help plzzzz or any tips on how I can remove the OEM shift ****?

It unscrews, but it has lock tight on it so it's a little hard to get off....wrap a towel around it so you don't harm the leather and get something to get a good grip and turn it counter clockwise....i just did mine.
Thanks a lot I'll try tonight
I bought one of these and then pulled down the boot and used a vise-grips on the shaft (haha) for back-torque. Easy-Peasy

Where did you get that? and what is it called? Thanks I think you way is the easiest way to go.
I believe its called a belt-wrench and I honestly forgot where I bought it, but it was either at an auto parts or home improvement store. But yeah after trying a couple other methods I realized this tool was well worth the investment. It really grips the shifter ****; you just have to make sure you are putting enough back-torque on it otherwise I'm pretty sure the belt-wrench has the capability to F-up the linkage
Search man, it's easy. BTW one of the diy's had a pic of the vice grip the wrong way so I thought it unscrewed backwards. Reading that some had a tough time unloosing it I thought mine was really bad and ruined my oem ****. It's your usual "righty tighty lefty loosey"
Here are a few pics I just took sorry for the quality guys, as you can see I suck in taking pics oh and BTW I just used my hand and it worked to remove the ****
