Its just the removal of the upper plenum, nothing major. You'll realize how simple it is once you do it a couple of times.

The spacer is a good mod. You probably won't feel a difference without other breather mods though.

There's an installation video on youtube for it. Not too complicated, I may try this myself.

They are already a few steps ahead in the video, but removing the intake and engine cover is fairly easy.

Did you already get it? Check out the PowerLab Spacer. I have it on my car and I love it.

Don't settle for less, if you going to add the spacer go with the best MotorDyne! Tony's kit has everything you need, correct bolts..spacers and gaskets. What you will need is a torque wrench and the ability to use it!

What year is your G and is it MT or AT? Spacer makes gains on stock MT and AT 03 and 04 Gs as well as AT 05-07 Gs. You'll need to get the mrev2 lower plenum from Motordyne if you wanna make gains on an MT 05-07. I just installed both the mrev2 and spacer as well as a polished aluminum z-tube. Definite change in sound and power.

Check out my post on it for some more info: https://g35driver.com/forums/g35-cou...s-ordered.html

Partially true. The spacer alone will make gains on all 03-07 5AT G's, and 03-04 6MT G's. 05-07 6MT's will need both the spacer and mrev2 to see the gains.

OP, which spacer kit are you getting? The basic, ISO, or Copper? The basic kit is pretty easy to install since you only need to take off the upper plenum. The ISO requires you to remove both the upper, and lower plenum, so a little more work. Dunno about the copper install.

Silencer, good call, I forget not everyone drives stick. I've corrected my post.

The copper install takes a little longer, because the throttle body is so hard to remove and the rubber tubes are impossible to put on the copper tb heater if already installed between the upper plenum and tb! Its definitely worth it though! Just connect the hoses to the copper tb heater and then sandwich it between the plenum and the tb. Its also a great time to clean the tb!.

The install isnt hard at all. I installed my crawford plenum and mrev myself. I did the mrev first, then the crawford later. I was a little hesitant at first, but then I said F it and dove in. The most difficult part for me was installing the gasket (when it came to the mrev) since I didnt have a new one to install. From what I saw, the spacer install is pretty straightforward

Make sure you get an inch-lb torque wrench and NOT a foot-lb cause you'll strip the bolts.
Oh yeah and if you have a revup engine (05'-07' mt) might as well get the MREV2 too.
It makes sense since you'll already have everything taken apart for the spacer.
If ur running an AT coupe then nevermind, spacer will do.

Its really not that bad of a job, you will be delighted with yourself after you complete it.. And I didn't really feel too much of a difference and I had a CAI and a few other mods.
