My 2005 has a bothersome rattle on the passenger side.

I made sure the seat belt holder is up, and even belted the seat belt in the empty seat to see if it would help- but, the rattle persists. Also, dropped the window on that side a touch- no help.

Anyone else encounter this? I hate to go to the dealer for this, if if it a known problem with a fix.

Thats rattle certifies that you've received an authentic infiniti g35 coupe. And to all 03-04 owners, are cars haven't changed that much lol. Bob I m sure if you bring it back to the dealer they'll take care of it for you. However, I'm not going to guarantee that its the last time you'll encounter that rattle. Enjoy the car.

haven't noticed any rattles yet... does it happen consistently? whenever you go over a bump? Maybe its cuz i usually have the music loud so i don't hear much in terms of rattles lol...

Yes- bumps seem to start the noise.

I have not fiddled with the sunroof to see if it may be the site.

yea its hard to locate the exact place where it rattles sometimes... especially when trying to figure it out while driving... best bet is you can get a passenger to try to find it while you're driving...

i got my 04 in august....rattles are a part of the ownership...........i was bothered by it at first but then said **** it let me just enjoy the performance of the car....my cousin spent 75 grand on a new benz gwagon 500....he experiencing way more rattles than we are and he dropped a good penny for it

so enjoy the car and stop listinening to all the rattles cuz you will be hating the car pretty soon

 

I have 1,050 miles on my '04 thus far.... no rattles yet. I get some wind noise from the top back of the driver's side door window.

OK. Here's my rattle story. I'm not saying this what you are all experiencing, but hopefully it will make you laugh. I started hearing a rattle from the passenger side door on my '04 Coupe. I'm thinking, "Dang! this is what everyone is talking about!" Well, I scheduled an early oil change (1,500 miles) for my car at the dealer so I asked him to check it out. Luckily, he test drove it before he tore my door apart. It turned out to be my sunglasses rattling in the sunglass holder!! It just sounded like it was coming from the door. Yeesh!! embarrasing user error!!
Other than that, no rattles from my car.

Be sure to check the seat back tilt handle if there is one on the passenger side of the 2005. Mine makes a very irritating rattle over certain bumps. Applying the passenger side seat belts (even without a passenger) holds the handle in and stops the rattle.

 

Oh man, I just want to add that when it IS your sunglasses, it really does sound like it's coming from the passenger door... I was going crazy trying to find it... Sunglasses out, rattle gone...

Sungalsses are evil. I could never figure out some of my rattles as they were in the morning only - duh - cuz it was dark...then again there are some real ones I've fixed in the door (window actuator) and in the rear deck when music is on (same TSB 2x). It's not all in your head!

yea, mine had the annoying tilt handle rattle when i first got the car, but then it went away and i havent heard it since. my first rattle story: i would hear an annoying rattle on the driver's side, but couldn't figure it out, i would look and listen, but to no avail. and then i noticed it only happend sometimes. then i noticed it only happend when i was dressed up nicely. wtf? turns out it was my dress watch rattling on my wrist!

I love my TB 2004 G35 sport coupe. But welcome to the G35 world of rattles!

The passenger seat belt guide could be rubbing against the leather from the passenger seat, creating a rattling sound.

When you start getting a rattle from the rear-view mirror, let me know. The dealership "re-secured the rear-view mirror covers," temporarily solving the problem; but sometimes the rattle pops up occassionally.
