I forgot about hub centering rings, but if the wheels and lugs are self centering, would they take care of that problem?

I didn't know if they were brand new or used. Brand new to him

Even if they were lug centric wheels I would still use hubcentric rings as a precaution... there only about 15 bucks and well worth it

Usually any wheel shop or even online...actually there's an advertisement for hubcentric rings from JustForWheels.com on the top and bottom of this tread, word of advise beware of the guys who try to rip u off, I personally wouldnt pay more than 20 bucks for a set. I went to one shop and they wanted 60 bucks for a used set I said hell no, I went to another shop and they charged me 15 bucks for a brand new set

I've also run into issues with new tires. All new tires have a heavy spot when they are constructed. They mark the heavy spot with a dot on the side of the tire. The wheels naturally have a light and heavy spot in the wheel usually around the hole for the air-stem is light. What we found is if we didn't line these up we could balance the wheel and the first mile it hit the road it would go out of balance. So we started breaking the tire back down and rotating it. This usually would take care of the issue. Even if you line them up you may find this to be an issue depending on the quality of tire and rotating it and re-beading it sometimes help. When you balance them you can tell the heavy spot clearly by the other side and the amount of weight. Something to think about if you have a balance issue you can't correct. Also his tie rods could be weak. A smaller tire will not track as much and a wider tire will or the track is pushed out because of offset causing the tie-rod to create issue if it is weak.
