hey, i am wanting to get some of bats GTR taillight inlays for my Coupe. i was just wondering if there are any laws in texas restricting these?
i would post in the south forum but it is mostly dead.

it is possible that someone could sue you if they rear end you. their excuse could be taillight modification made the brake lights too dim even though you think it's not...

good point. but if you get the GTR, there are holes cut out for the red. you'll be fine. The lights are still very visible.

 

That's my line of thinking as well, especially for the headlights. Afterall, all the headlight overlays do (if circles cut out for all lights/indicators) is cover the factory metal insert. Tails would be more of an issure, I think, but if cut-outs are there then I can't see how the film would impede your ability to see the lighted signals clearly.

I'm also in Texas and wondered about the laws here. I'm almost certain that any full overlay is going to be off-limits, or at least will get you some unwanted attention from the police.

thanks for the replies. i am pretty confident that it will be ok to have them. (for the replie above) my city is swarming with cops. not many traffic problems go on around here so the cops will pull u over for anything. people have gotten tickets for going 4 or 5 over. its crazy here. pretty much what all of dfw is like.
