Mechanically they should at least be tied.

The G hasn't had as much of the front tire wear problem that many of the Z's have had also.

Re: compare the g to a z?

Also have to remember that both vehicles are aimed at a different market as the Z is a true sports car and the G is a luxury coupe.....in other words one car is supposed to be good at one thing whereas the other is good at another.
Cannot compare apples and oranges even if they do share the same power plant, their setups have subtle differences.
Just get what is the best for your daily needs as both are good cars for the purpose they are intended for.

No one has mentioned the one feature that makes the G far superior -- at least for those of us who like fresh air. It comes with an (optional) sunroof. The Z does not offer a sunroof. Because I drive with the sunroof open at all times when it is not raining, I wouldn't have a Z!

Partly Debadged; Aluminum Pedals; Z-Tube K & N Filter;
Fujitsubo Exhaust with Y Pipe

Re: compare the g to a z?

I have driven both and prefer the G to the Z. The 350z has an unbearable ride..something that I can't deal with. You can tell that the G is bigger than the Z when driving, but it is not the big of a deal. The G still handles great and is very comfortable. I believe that the G can handle and feel just as agile as the Z with some suspension upgrades and minimal weight reduction.

Re: compare the g to a z?

Thanks for the responses guys. I found the ride quite good, actually, but then again my daily driver is lowered. I still like the g35 a lot better, mainly due to the interior, the looks, the pop-up nav, and the looks. But the 350z drives real nice. I just hope the g35 is the same or close enough. But if it doesn't, that'll b an excuse to get some suspension stuff...

Re: compare the g to a z?

LOL easy comparision....Even though Infinitis are made by Nissan. But the u can compare these 2 brands easily by using some common sense.

Nissan = cheap,20" bling bling, black tint, driven by hardcore Mexicans (most of these feeling comes from Altima, Maxima)

Infiniti = luxury, rich, much better brand, BMW, Benz, Lexus level.

No offensive at all, just tried to help u out =)

Re: compare the g to a z?

Seeing as this is a super G biased forum...

To me... When 350Z > G35c.

Real two seater. Doesn't pretend to be luxury like the Infiniti -- the worksmanship of both cars are really the same, even though one is a "luxury" line. All these people calling the Infiniti 'luxury' .. they have good intentions, but it doesn't really match up in quality with Lexus, BMW, or Benz in my opinion. I still have major flaws on the fit and finish of the interior and the such on my car. I think even the Acura TL is put together and designed nicer. 200 lbs lighter. Much shorter and seems quicker in traffic. Doesn't have a turn radius of a sedan. Navigation door is cooler than a pop-up nav. Looks more aggresive than G35c. Driving experience is much more of a sports car style, like sitting lower, cooler gauges.

When G35c > 350Z.

Way classier in styling, inside and out. All your basic luxury amenities.. Even though my coupe doesn't even have power reclining... 4 seats, if you're into that. Cheaper insurance. The BEST taillight design in the market. More grown up appearance than 350Z. Smoother ride. SUNROOF. Basically a great combination of everything. Keep in mind, everybody -- and their mom .. AND their aunt has one. If that bugs you.

That being said.. I'm planning to get a 350Z. Damn I'm going to miss that sunroof. Should have in the first place, but you can't really go wrong with either. Both are eye turners built on similar platforms, and you'll probably be welcome to all the same meets anyway!

Oh, you since everyone is G35c biased here. You should check out my350z.com or something for some Z bias, just to make it fair.
