I have 50 percent winshield, 20 rest. I like it and have no problems at night or in the rain but then again i have pretty good vision. The only reason i did it was because i got a really good deal imo 160$ for every window including windshield from a place that usually tints lamborghinis.

Are u in CA? A friend of mine was told by a cop that it will now be a ticket, not a fix it ticket anymore.

Tint

I have been in this industry for 24 yrs (tinting) and no state allows you to have your windshield tinted unless you get a DRs note then it still has to be filed with your state to get a certificate of waiver. My whole car is tinted in 5% and the windshield is in 30% with a 5% strip and if you.r use to it its fine. But remember if you are in an accident your insurance company can refuse to pay if they decice that your windows are illegal and you may be liable for the wreck on both ends

Actually I know in some states if you are able to obtain a doctors note that indicates you have some sort of condition you may be able to get your tint darker and the front windshield done as well. my friend has his car done 25% all around including the front windshield. But you still want to check with your local and state police.

You can always claim that you have sensitive skin to the sun so you can tint the wind shield. But then again your going to need a doctors note for that one. lol

I'd look into contacts and a pair of polarized sunglasses to cut down the glare before tinting the front windshield. My in-laws back in Oklahoma have tinted windshields and while it's not bad during the day, I can't see jack at night. They're always complaining that their headlights aren't very bright, well duh!

People are always trying to find a way to make their headlights brighter, don't see the logic in doing the opposite.

I think I'm sticking with 40%. Its 80 degrees here and it feels like 95. Alabama is crazy hot in the summer and I can't have my seats burning *** holes in my shorts. Everyone I know has tint waivers. I have astigmatism and color blind and really bad vision and wear glasses 24/7 so I don't think theres any problem getting a tint waiver.

Maybe like Florida you can get away with any tint. With "Good Old Boy" law enforcement in Alabama just slip em a $20 if you get stopped, that should keep them donuts for a week....

I really don't think they care about tint anymore here. They are just really big on speeders. The last car I saw getting pulled over for tint was a FJ Crusier that had 5% on EVERY window. I can bet he didn't drive much at night. I see plenty of cars with dark tint. My tint now is really dark looking when the sun starts going down because of the interior. I ride up beside cops and they just drive off.

I have 15% all around and 30% on the front windshield. It blocks all the sun and keeps my dashboard cool during the day. Not to mention how mean it makes the front of your car look. Anything darker than 30% and youre ganna start getting messed with by the cops. 30% can be played off unless they are literally looking for your car for windshield tint lol
