MD ART pipes installation

I recently put in a MD 5/16th spacer and was hoping to get a little more power out with these test pipes at the low end. Is it worth the money to invest in these test pipes? I've seen DYNOs for it but wanted to hear from real experience. Also, would I be able to do this at home on jack stands or is a lift required? Thanks guys.

I def think they are worth it. I was going to try and install them with car ramps.. Ill tell you how that goes once I actually buy them, but there appears to be enough room to get there if your willing to get dirty.

They are worth the price and they can be installed at home on jack stands. Just make sure you have the tools and take your time. Only took me a couple of hours, pretty straight forward install.

Thanks guys. I been reading up in the exhaust forums. Should be able to get it done on jack stands with the right tools like extenders, etc. I hope it doesn't sound too raspy/drone with the stock exhaust. I want it more for the power benefit than the sound.

Most of the restriction in our exhaust systems is in the OE cats so Motordynes ART pipes will give you RWHP gains. If you still running the OE exhaust system you my have rasp issues since it isn't designed to handle the extra volume...Gary

I never experienced rasp with ART pipes on my OEM exhaust. ART pipes are a solid choice.

Motordyne's ART Pipes are an excellent choice over HFCs which aren't worth the $$ especially BERK'S! MDs y-pipe is far better than any other on the market, combine the two and you have 1/3 of a great exhaust system....Gary
