Hi Guys
My driver seat refused to move forward and backward recently, it can move up and down but only move forward and backward on oneside. Brought it to my friend's uncle who is an auto mechanic and he said the seat rail is broken on one side which cause the seat stuck at one position. He estimated that it would cost me $475.00 to fix this with a used seat rail. I am thinking of bringing it to the Infiniti local dealer but don't know that if the car is still under warranty because it has 59,893 miles and the warranty is expire at 60,000. does anyone have any idea about the cost of fixing this or does anyone have this problem before? Much appreciate!

 

last time i checked, 59,893 is under 60k... so warranty should still be good.

 

There is also the 4 year component to the warranty. So OP's car would have to have an in service date of 04/23/2007 or later to be eligible.

Some of the sedan guys have dealt with this issue and it turned out to be a busted plastic gear in the motor on the side that won't move. They replaced the gear with this: http://odometergears.com/infiniti.html and it fixed the issue. I'll try to find the thread for reference.
