OK if your pedal actually got stuck then throw out my theory of the rev matching. RM happens when you release the pedal, the RPMs stay where they are for a moment so the tranny speed and engine speed remain the same to help you shift more smoothly.

well now that you explain it clearly.. yeah that can be a problem, I've never had this happen in my G. Take it to the infiniti dealer and have it looked at, explain the problem to them. You are correct in a deferent situation you could of gotten hurt bad.

Thanks, I will definitely be taking it into the dealership to get it looked at.

Hopefully there's a way for them to safely test it without putting anyone at risk.

Is this normal?

Yes we do, not sure why. It's better mated with the manual tranny.

That's what I was thinking... I'm gonna try manual mode on the way home from work and see if it really makes a difference

Contacted the dealer and they wanted to charge me $106 for diagnostics even though I purchased an extended warranty. I explained to them that this was a very serious concern and they should look at it regardless, and even more so that I have an extended warranty. He refused to take it in without me paying a deposit, which can be refunded if they find anything wrong.

I also inquired about how they will go about testing it... he said the tech will have to take it for a test drive. This concerns me as I have rims and am dropped, and if he goes WOT, I have concerns about my car getting damaged and the safety of others on the street.

Should I proceed with the check up? What do you guys think?
