hey guys, i just want to share with you guys my painted wheels. this is my first time, and im surprised it turned out pretty good. got the wheel paint at autozone, rustoleum brand, and they have flakes too. turned out pretty alrite.

sorry for the crappy cellphone pic. im gona give the car a good wash and take some better resolution pictures

1 coat of primer
2 color
3 clear

Any pics further away? Also why does nobody do their center caps... Looks like it was overlooked to me when ppl don't color match them with the wheels... Imo.

Yea after i was finished, the centercap looks out of place to me. I guess im gona paint the centercaps too to make it blend in

Yeah, looks alright. I'm don't really care for the stock wheels, but if you like them and just wanted to clean up a damaged/peeling finish I'd say you've accomplished your mission.

i just cant afford another set of wheels, so i just paint them. clean up the look

^ Agreed, Id love a set of Volks but I dont have 2500-3000 to spend.. BTW I love OEM 18s!

Take some straight on pics, its hard to see them at the angle.

Also you can remove the center caps, no need to tape them off.

Nice, im considering doing mine too (also ballin on a budget lol. not everyone has $3k for volks lol). Take more pics further away

Paint is a quick fix if your on a really tight budget but they won't last! Paint chips and fades, pretty soon your wheels will look worse than before. The only right way to fix your rims is powder coating, do it once and you're finished....they do center caps too.

Yes ive sanded it with 1500grit and 2000grit n cleaned it off with dawn soap. Ill do the centercaps later as well
