Please help guys!

i just purchased a 2005 infiniti G35 coupe last week. Got into a minor accident last night as i was at the stop sign and i applied brakes and it still rolled at about 5km/h and hit the guy in front of me. i got off and had a look and no damage was found.

I looked at it this morning and saw a plug coming out from front lower grill..it is like an actual plug that we can plug in our home outlet.
Please advise that if it is normal and if it could cause any problem. don't see any leaks or anything.

Appreciate guys.

Welcome to DRIVER....=oD

Buying a used vehicle there's no telling what the previous owner might have added. First of all that hole in your front bumper was intended for the tow bolt which should still be with your spare tire. If you have a house hold plug in that hole it's probably for a battery charger....my guess. I'd trace it down and remove it from the battery first then get rid of it.

Lower grill doesn't sound like he means the toe hook cover/screw area, I would more likely guess a car warmer (or whatever it is called for those in frozen areas). Pics would be a big help though, as well as tracing it back to where it goes.

I would be willing to bet that the plug is for an engine warmer. That is about the only thing I know of that people have 110v electric plugs on cars for. Most the ones around here are on Diesel trucks.

The plug is a block heater.

I would be more concerned about your braking issue however.

Is your car Auto/Stick??

Sick - left in gear then clutch slipped?
Auto - footcame off the brakes?

Sounds like you may just need to get used to the breaks or breaking distance. No reason the car should slow down but not come to a full stop and the brakes were fine after.

LOL. Canada G here... it's a block heater cord. When I bought the car it was sticking out of the front grill so it's easy to plug in. The first thing I did is stick it back in the bumper
