Need Help!! Key scratches on my 03 g35

Hello g lovers
A few month ago, My g got key scratches all around except for the front and rear bumpers.
I do not have a full-cover insurance yet, but willing to have the full coverage if its the best way.
So, the paint shop workers estimated price around 1700 dollars to have the job done.
And the cost of having the full coverage insurance is about 2200 when deductible is 500( 1800 when deductible is 1000) for 6months.

1) How do you prevent from getting rust on the paint temporally?( scratches are deep)

2) Is it better to pay for the full coverage insurance and let the insurance company pay for me?

3) How should i make a claim about it? What do i have to say?

4) My g's color is brilliant silver metal clearcoat. Is it better to leave it as original color or it doesn't really matter even if i change the entire color?

5) If i repaint the entire body, any recommendation for the color?

Please help me g family
Thank you~

If you decide to get full coverage wait at least a month before making a claim. Auto insurance is one of the biggest rip-offs IMO but it pays to have full coverage if you ever have to use it.

they are going to inspect your car before you can get the full coverage.

I think the car inspection depends on the state.

Pics of the scratches? I say repaint the whole car, since the scratches are on almost all of the body panels.

My insurance inspected, and took pics of my car prior to me getting full coverage.

I've had insurance where they inspected my car and I've had insurance where they didn't... it might depend on the company

I've used, geico, usaa, and unitrin direct and never had an inspection. This was also in Texas, Hawaii & south Carolina. try unitrin direct, they are super cheap.

One way to avoid inspection is to buy your insurance online. That's how I did with State Farm in Oregon.

i live in ny and geico definatly requires a inspection of the car with full coverage. they sent me a letter saying the car will not be covered in an accident if the car was not inspected in 5 days. they actually have privately owned mecanic shops that do the inspections for them where they even take pictures of the car.

If ur gonna get full coverage from a company that ur already insured by then u should be fine, ur just basically changing ur policy and should require an inspection

On a sidenote, I have bristol west insurance which is owned by farmers and they didn't inspect my car
