Roommate is Houston PD here and he looked up the law and it is very illegal to have anything but WHITE or AMBER for side/clearance markers on the front of the vehicle.
here in Texas you could get a felony stop depending on how much a dick the cops want to be..
Only Emergency vehicles are allowed to have any forward facing Blue/Red lights.
looks cool.. but not worht the trip to the courthouse or the unnecessary attention from LE it would bring.

Now the strips above are badass!.. want those..

Anyone that has disassembled the 03-05 coupe headlights knows about the big piece of plastic that covers the halogen bulb that comes stock. I had to drimel of most of the backing of that cover, so my strip would fit. After I reassembled the lights I found out I should have went with 8-10K LEDs cause of that cover takes away from some of the light.

But here is the best pic I have right now.

And?

My point is its not gonna stop anyone from doing it...
Just cause someone has blue/red, doesn't mean they aren't aware of the law.

LEDMarkers.com that looks AMAZING...

Yeah back in 03-05 there are hundreds of threads about coupes getting pulled over for our white/white LEDs. Since then the use of LEDs have grown a lot within the automotive industry. Thanks to Lexus' white LED license plate lights followed by Audi's signature LED Strip...

Just saying it's probably safe to run white/white in your clearance strip and sidemarkers now then before. Just like people rarely get pulled over or ever anymore with 6000k D2R or D2S bulbs..

Again read the post.. someone was complaining and asking why they got felony stopped for having them..

and for the poster below him.
White is legal and has been in Texas DOT for years before 2003. its only blue/red that's highly illegal.

Any color besides white and amber is illegal . some cops more lenient then others but blue or red will get you a ticket or two eventually and can get a impersonating a emergency vehicle . when we do blue, red, green, purple etc we always remind the customer it is illegal and recomend running them off a switch or remote instead of always on with the marker lights .

This is true, but some may not be aware of the law, and might be very surprised if they get into a felony stop situation. If you know it's illegal, and decide to do it anyway that is fine. Just wanted to make sure people are aware that it could get you a ticket or worse.

Just like window tinting. It can be illegal, but if you're taking a calculated risk, that's fine.
