Oil Consumption Help !!!

Hi guys
Need help
I just changed oil on my 2006 G35 6MT on 55655 miles and I already checked that I filled the oil to the top of H mark.
But now my car is 56222 and the oil level downs at 11mm from the H mark.
So im wondering is this a sign for me about oil consumption problem? Please help and my Powertrain warranty is up, so help me before i still have Powertrain warranty guys.
Thank you

I'm kind of new here also, but there's a big ole sticky thread on this issue: https://g35driver.com/forums/tsb-tec...ption-tsb.html

I have a 2006 6mt also, it was one of the first threads I came across. (mine doesn't seem to be burning oil though *knock on wood*)

I've been checking it myself, usually in the morning before starting it up. Still at the full mark after 2k miles of owning the car. Service guy even told me to keep an eye on oil levels because the "six speed engines tend to burn some."

If you think you have an issue, take it to the dealer. You'll have to get an oil change there, then they'll monitor it for you.

That is what I am doing right now. Got my oil changed at the dealers and i am suppose to come back in 1-1.5k miles so they can check my oil. Hopefully I don't have the OC cause my power train warranty is gonna end in 6k more miles =[

Some people reported that their new engine still consumed oil. One guy is on his 3rd motor.

I've heard rumors that the New engine has a revised piston ring. BUT, that's just a rumor.

I BELIEVE the motor is the exact same motor with the exact same problem.

Depends on how many miles were driven. According to the chart, you are at the "no good range".

Here is the chart.

Powertrain warranty ends at 70k so you have some time to track your OC.

If i have it =[ They put some glue thingy on my oil cap and needle stick so I cant check it. And if i remove it, i think i void the oil check or what ever. I am going back to the dealer in maybe 2-3 weeks if i drive my car another 200 miles.

since you just changed your oil, you sure its not leaking from the drain plug? have you checked for drips on the ground after you park it? if so then your looking at OC
