Modified G35 tuning questions

Hows it going everyone. I have a couple questions regarding my g35.

First of all, here are my mods:

Tru dual Cat-Back exhaust, w/test pipes and headers
AEM CAI
Blox 5/8 Plenum spacer

I hear people talking about the osiris tune. Can someone give me some more information on it? I would like to know the gains, ect. Is there any other options?? My car seems like it runs rich. Also, I want more power...

Search, there are plenty of threads about osiris and what people have gained with different mod setups. There are also a few other options which are also very available with a quick search.

But you might first want to state what type of g35 you have so we can let you know if you have all the mods that really would help you out to gain the most. Right off the bat I can tell you that you should switch those tp to ART pipes and that blox spacer to a MD spacer (mrev2 also depending on your engine/transmission).

get an mrev2 definitely, the best bolt on that can be had.
pair it with a 5/16" md spacer, a superior spacer than the one you have.
art pipes produce a good amount of power more than your current tp's.

then consider a tune, or else you are really just wasting extra money.

Definitely get the MREV2. MD ART pipes are the ones you want for the best gains. Then get an Osiris tune.

On an auto, but you get the point... https://g35driver.com/forums/tuner-d...dyno-runs.html If you have facts that suggest otherwise please let me know...

You could do an Osiris tune with what you're currently running but the results will be much better if you add the MREV2 lower intake from MotorDyne. I just finished my Osiris tune last week and picked up 24 RWHP and 12.5 LBS of torq. I'm surprised with what you're running you don't get the "Check Engine Soon" error code (171) for running lean . Check our tuner section here on DRIVER for more information.

What is done to your car? Also, what is the total RWHP?

Are you guys saying that if i do the osiris tune right now, I wont see much difference??

I actually recived the CEL 171 when i put the headers on... I cleared the code and it never came back... Then i put the test pipes on, and i got the p0420 CEL. So i cleared the code and it came back! Today i put on some spark plug defoulers and the car is fine...

If i leave the car without the tune as it sits, will it damage the motor due to how rich its running? I was told g35's run rich from the factory.

I think im going to go ahead and throw on the MREV2.

they run rich from factory like all cars do. but as you put more and more breather mods on, it will cause the car to run leaner. you are most definately running lean now. i dont believe it'll damage the engine but you'll be wasting mpg and potential power gains. and while gary c picked up a lot from the tune i think the norm is more around 10-20 whp and wtorque

get all your boltson done first then the tune. a tune with the software will cost 500-600 and a retune is another 100. so dont waste money getting a tune now if you are just going to add more parts later

^An Uprev dyno tuning can be had for under $600, depending on location.
