Re: the g35 is a dangerous car

Dude....I love my G....But does anyone think that these people with these dyno charts are spitting out some low numbers? 239 rwhp? That seems like dick load of powerloss from the motor to the rotor to me?!?!!!? Am I dolo on this one?

Re: the g35 is a dangerous car

actually, 239rwhp on a 280 flywheel is pretty good.

Its only 14.64% loss, which in all actuality is pretty good.

That is right where it should be.

Re: the g35 is a dangerous car

There's always a small power loss when measuring horsepower at the wheels, in this car about 15%, which is about right.

Someone with better math skills may want to answer this but 239rwhp should translate back to 280hp output by the engine.

The vdc button below the wheel to the left.

Re: the g35 is a dangerous car

It makes the VDC light turn off (VDC is still active) and you can't disable VDC until you turn the car off and back on.

i love hearing these stories... i wish i had more of my own... there is one vehicle i'm deftly afraid of... the ford lightning... 380 hp supercharged... I saw one eat up a camaro and a firebird the other night... like literally destroyed them.

It’s easy to make a U-turn in a Ford Lightning, just do a half donut in the middle of the intersection

Wow. I feel so bad for all of you that waited so long to break in your engine. I hope you haven't lost that much compression from babying so much.

Re: the g35 is a dangerous car

He can't tell you how it'll lose compression by going easy during break-in, because he's talking out of his behind.

In fact, it's just the opposite - bang on it too early, and you'll screw up the ring seating - which will result in major oil burning, and loss of compression. There is nothing to be lost from treating an engine right during the first 1,200 miles or so - other than a lot of service headaches down the road!
