note to self, never turn off vdc coming out of wet starbucks parking lot...

anyhow... I don't even bother with eclipses, civics, integras, accords, etc... I'm normally pretty mild mannered, but when I get behind the wheel of my G35C, I'm looking for camaros, mustangs, etc... lookout V8's... here I come!!!

all you new owners... hurry and get your car broken in... you'll know exactly what I mean!!!!

 

Dude, be careful with VDC off she will get tail out on you.

But, don't get too carried away. Cobras and LS1s will bite us hard.

Well . . on the topic of turbos... greddy's twin turbo kit is on it's was to stores near you... and even better TOP SECRETS single turbo setup producing 540HP (465WHP @18psi)
Of course these are applications for the Z as I am sure you know. But, if it fits in the z most likely minimal mods to get er into the G

Yeah, my buddies Z28 auto ran a 13.4 stock so definatley dont attempt that unless you have somthing.

The new GT's should give you a good run, i have seen many at the track pull consistent 13.9-14.1 runs all day long.

really 99 we can take a 99+ GT? I don't know but lately so many mustangs keep trying to challenge. I always have the family in the car at those times so I can't do anything.

The new Mach 1 mustang could probably beat us since they have a 305 HP. You can probably beat early LT1 Camaros and FireBirds.

 

Gotta watch them newer 99+ stangs- only takes a few mods (3 and about $800 to be somewhat exact) to make them run low 13's on a regular basis. Swap stock 3.27 gears for 3.55's or 3.73's add an exaust, underdrive pullies and they will eat you for lunch. Too many mods that are too cheap to add to a stang, never know what you are going to run up against.

Stealth is the key to an embarra$$ing moment....watch out for silver 94gt's. :-) Mine is kinda fast.....

surely, I don't think I can beat all these v8's... this car just makes me feel like I can compete... hondas, acuras, mitsus... they just don't feel like a challenge anymore...

surely some highly modded integra, eclipse, wrx, is gonna set me straight eventually... and some slightly modded or v8 or even stock american muscle is gonna beat my pants off... but the fact is, it's great to be in a wholly different category now...

 

Can you race from a street light or accelerate quickly with VDC on?

 

i tried, it still hauls... but you don't get that kick after 2nd and 3rd, because if you have the vdc on... it'll detect the slippage when you shift and decrease the power to those wheels, causing a really noticeable lag and drop in revs.

 

Screw vdc, keep it off unless its raining or snowing. Youll learn when not to accel in a turn, really quick.(ahh the endless vdc debate)

You can take down most stock imports. But other imports with some modifications will provide trouble.
