DIY on rotors???
Any help (visual would be great) on a rotor replacement would be wonderful. Getting slotted rotors and it would be nice to have something I can look at. I have the Brembos.

Re: DIY on rotors???
I don't have any pictures on me, but I can see if there are any diagrams in my helms manual. However, I can tell you that replacing the rotors is actually quite easy... (granted I don't have the brembos, but I don't think it would be that much more difficult)..
Anyways, there should be like two bolts holding the calipers. Remove those, and then clamp the brakes to push the pistons in a little. Then remove the shoes. There should be about 2-4 more bolts holding the caliper brackets on. These are going to be really f'in tight. It will make your life easier, if you crank the wheel towards the outside. (Turn right for right wheel, left for left wheel)... This way you can put a breaker bar on your wrench, and get those caliper bracket bolts off pretty easily. Once you remove those things, there will be nothing holding the rotor on. You may need to tap it with a rubber mallet to loosen it a little. I think on the G, there may be a small nut holding the rotor in place, which is not necessary, and only a leftover from the manufacturing process, from what I hear...

Re: DIY on rotors???
Bump. If this thread is still alive on Monday morning, I'll post something that might be useful. I've booked marked a good link to a rotor/pad DIY on FA, but for some reason, I cannot access FA from home.
Re: DIY on rotors???
Thanks Dave...
While we're in the spirit of sharing, here's another useful thread from FA (and g-owners.com) that is for the 6MT guys...
