New proud owner!! --> Pictures Added!!
Just purchased my G last week and have had some time to drive it around the city (with a heavy foot).
Honestly this car is amazing, i feel like i want to drive it around all day long but then I start thinking about gas prices...lol
I had a thread on here before asking members to choose which car I should go with and well the car I chose was a 2005 Black Coupe from Canada. Long story short, on his way to dropping off the car some d***head rammed him from behind and totaled the car. When he called me an hour after I almost had tears in my eyes. I guess it wasn't mean to be!!
So I went for choice #2 which probably turned out for the best. I picked up a fully loaded including nav 2006 IP G35 Coupe with a standard transmission and grey interior. The car has 45,000 miles and drives like a dream.
Quick question, I've looked at the maintenance schedule for the car but from your opinions is there anything I should be particularly worried about changing at around 50,000 miles? I don't believe the previous owner had done any major maintenance recently.......
Lastly, I know you all want pictures so I will post them later today after washing the car (for the 3rd time!!)....and yes after lurking on this forum for some time I have a plan outlined for what mods I would like to add.
As promised...here are the pictures with my crappy Iphone 4 camera. I will try and get some better ones this week.
The previous owner had only put in the clear side markers and tints but I have a lot more planned!!
Enjoy and let me know what you guys think.....

IP coupes are so cool, nice find! Without maintenance records I'd quickly change out all fluids along with belts and filters. (cabin/intake) Good Luck with your new ride...."Enjoy!"

Everything Gary said and then some. I'd suggest swapping out the wipers and the belts (go with OEM belts). Get the brakes checked out and if needed, again, go OEM, use Riverside Infiniti for best prices.
As far as fluids, I'd suggest Amsoil for tranny and clutch. Engine oil, go with Castrol Syntec 0W30 and a K&N oil filter. Not a bad idea to get it seafomed if you can get your mechanic to do it for you. Some of the maintenance that I suggested might sound premature because of the mileage but keep in mind, it's a five to six year old car.
I absolutely love mine. I also have a 6spd. IP with grey interior.
Feel free to message me if you have any questions at all.

Thank you for all the suggestions.
I just spoke to my mechanic and he strongly recommended against the tranny and clutch fluid flush as the car only has 45k miles. he said to wait at least until around 65-70.
Based on the reading I've done here the car will only drink 0W30 Castrol Synthetic as far as Oil goes.
I am still contemplating replacing the belts, got quoted 90$ for both belts parts and labour so I will probably replace those.
Pictures are coming!! It has been raining all week

Having read all the post twice no one suggested or used the word "Flush." What I suggested was all fluids changed, belts and filters. I only use the word flush when it won't....

Nice work! Mine is black(which is what I really wanted) but the more I see the IP ones the more I like them.

Choice 2 I would have no problems doing myself....Choice 1 I would have to go to the mechanic for.....
is there a huge benefit doing one or the other?
Congrats man! I just picked up my G this weekend! i know how you feel, exactly how
. I live in Canada, i picked up a black '06mtC. loaded w.o nav. 22k miles
The guy before me had it dumped 2" by some shop and put an injen CAI in. I'm in love with this car lol.
I've looked in the forums for detailing the interior, but I was curious... what do you guys use for leather conditioner/maintenance. and what is best to clean up the dash that won't look greasy as ****?

Car looks good!!
As far as detailing I want to be able to do everything myself to a certain extent.
Canadian Tire had a sale on AutoGlym products last week and I ended up buying most of their different products.
I tried everything last week and I was very impressed. People will tell you all sorts of different things about taking care of the car but I was very happy with the results using AutoGlym.
Their leather cleaner and leather balm was excellent, their car shampoo/conditioner brought out the pearl in my IP, their tire and rim cleaner also did an awesome job.
I will be cleaning the rest of my interior (plastic and rubber) compenents with the vinyl cleaner today or tomorrow to test it out. From what I've seen and heard it leaves a nice mat finish with no BS gloss like armorall.
This is just my experience but no complaints on my end.

Ozzy - First off congrats on the car!!! Happy for you things worked out the way they did as you got a much nicer setup in the 2006 IP/Stone/6sp - I am a little biased as this is my exact setup.
In regards to swapping fluids etc, I just started a thread in the Canada section in regards to this - it will probably be of interest to you.
