This all depends on what offset you choose. I don't know anything about Vossen so I don't know if they allow you to get custom offsets. But if you get offsets in the single digits and the low teens, you'll have to roll your rear fenders with a drop.

That G37 is dropped, a subtle one though. But the distance in height with their springs will be different from our lowering springs.

This thread can give you an idea of how low Tein S-Tech and Tein H-Tech will lower your car.

It's like 30 pages of stuff, but there are pictures and some details about what people are running and stuff like that.

and what's considered a "subtle" drop? an inch? half inch?

I say an inch would be subtle.

+25 offset all around, you don't need a fender roll.

I don't think it looks bad to drive around stock height on 19's.

ok....so i'm kinda gettin a plan together.

these wheels with the falken tires that come on them...
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/19-Co...d=233852349552
BUT get them in the matte black with the machined face.

here are some pics with them on a sedan in hyper silver.
https://g35driver.com/forums/picture...red-sedan.html

now for my blood, it's dropped too much and i think they are out a little far for me too. i think i would like to get my wheels on and see how it looks. cause i'm not TOTALLY sold on dropping it yet. now, will keeping the same suspension settings and going to a 20" wheel affect my ride quality? i realize that my sidewall will be shorter and may ride a little rougher....least that's kinda what makes sense in my crazy little brain...guess i can get a set, and if the ride is too rough, then i can sell them and put my OEMs back on.

so now it's these for 2100 shipped, or the vossens for 2800. those are both a little steep, but you gotta pay to play, i suppose.

and i was searching earlier, and couldn't find good images of cars on 20s at stock height. anybody got any links? i'm gonna look more after i post this, i know i saw some when i first started this whole shenanigannery, but i can't remember where/how i found them.

i want to sincerely thank everyone for their time and opinions. sorry to be such a noob, but we don't have any car clubs around me and i really don't have anyone to discuss stuff with...

that's what i want it to look like, that "drop" if there is one, no camber. and close to flush. think that the fenders had to be rolled for that?

just like that. only a beautiful G and not the red headed step child Z. thing is pure sex.

Yes that rear tire is running a little bit of a stretch.

i would probably keep your oem 19s and just get new tires. . .if you're going to get new wheels (sounds like you want 20s) the ride will be a lot more rough. Also if, or when you lower the car your going to lose some comfort, just keep that in mind.

If you don't mind that, then I would probably go ahead lower the car on tein s tech, Since is sounds like you don't want anything too low. I'll post a picture of my car with g35 s techs to give you an idea on how the drop is. I also have tokico d spec shocks, the ride is decent. . .a bit rough sometimes depending on the road. I would also just go ahead and roll your rear fenders, but thats just me.

Here's a pic of my car on s techs. . .
(if you think its too low then go with tein h tech)

Most of the pics, and videos you posted that you like are cars that if you want to replicate that look would necessitate a drop. Most likely even more than the subtle 1" drop.

Making the transfer to 20" rims and then wanting to match the look of those pics/vids with the drop and your ride is going to be substantially rougher. But then again it all depends on what your tolerances are. Many of us run thin sidewall rims, fairly flush, dropped low, with stiff coil setups - this can be very uncomfortable to some while to others it is fine. You just need to find out where you are on that spectrum.

I completely missed this thread. The video is of my car and so is that photo. Are you looking for the wheel and tire specs?
