2004 G35 Coupe at Invoice???

I recently emailed some dealers about possibly purchasing a 2004 G35 Coupe With NO options, 2 dealers have emailed me back and one was offering me a base ivory pearl with CLOTH interior for invoice, i believe he said 27,400....i was wondering if you guys think i could get him to lower the price anymore, since they are probably trying to get rid of the last of the 04's or is invoice the best i can do? thanks in advance

I called all over the country, trying to find a G with a cloth interior. I found 1. The guy also said he'd sell it to me at invoice.

But..........there's a reason why he will..............

Noone, absolutely noone wants cloth in this car. Every dealer I talked to made it seem like I was crazy for wanting a cloth interior for it.

You have to stress the fact when you're negotiating, that that noone wants cloth. There's no way he won't lower the price. If he doesn't, then ask him why there were so few of these cars made in cloth. He'll probably stutter.

Plus, I'd wait until the end of December when RWD Coupes aren't a huge seller, due to winter (depending on where you live). THEN you'd have the guy on his knees.

basically what Dr_Love_Rocket said... you can definitely get below invoice on that no problem... most people are not going to want a base model, so its going to be a lot harder for him to sell it... and since winter is here, he'd have a hard time selling any coupes period...

Seems like dealers are pretty happy to deal on '04's right now regardless, we managed w/o much negotiation at all to get them down over $4,500 off MSRP (I couldn't seem to put my hands on invoice pricing when I was looking at that moment) May or may not have been a stellar deal but I was pretty happy about it.
