I'm a chick.. And I need help with tires.
Alright tire/offset people.. I need help
Ok... Actually I'm her Bf stealing her account... Because I need help... We both own a G and hers is much nicer than mine! Haha. And in turn for help. I will make her pose in a bikini... In front of her black on black on black G.... ; )
And she's hot. Lol sooo... Please help.
Ok so I need tires for 20x10.5 rims all around. +10 in front and +15 rear(with spacers) I tried sumimoto 255/35/20 on the front. And 285/30/20 on the rear.
Well never actually put them on the car, as the 255 was too stretched. I'm not a huge fan of super stretched tires(little stretch isn't bad) Anyhow my tire shop(seem to have known what they are doing in the past) just can't get it to stretch..
So... I'm low on options.. There's no way a 285 will work in the front, and I doubt a 275 will... So I'm looking at a 265..
I'm thinking about trying a 265/30/20 front +10 and 295?/30/20 rear +15 Can it work?
My rear fenders are rolled btw and I'm lowered about an inch all around, running a couple degrees -camber
Any pics if someone is running something similar?

Damn, what made you decide on 10.5 all around? Anyways, Chris Black ran a similar set up that you can look at here:
https://g35driver.com/forums/media-s...ll-around.html
This set up should be okay.
You won't need to run negative degrees of camber with this though. It can easily be brought back into spec. And seeing as how you are mildly dropped, it won't be that hard to do.
Here's a question for you though. If you're having a tire issue in the front, then why not just put the wheels you are running in the back in the front and put the front wheels in the back?
If you're running a spacer in the back to achieve a +15, I'm assuming that is a higher offset wheel. So why not switch that up? +10 in the rear would be more flush then the +15 anyway.

I don't recall anyone trying to run that wide a rim on the front, what were you thinking especially a 20"? All that extra weight is going to play havoc on your suspension. The 265 is about your only option and even then I'd be concerned about sharp down hill turns until you get the spacers sorted out.

I know right... Idk what I was thinking.. ; )
Other than I picked up new rims for under $700shipped lol and I'm a broke college kid who pays for EVERYthing myself..
This guy just had to give me the idea.. Lol

Anyhow I ordered them in gloss black with a polished lip.. They look decent. The reason I didn't go with their staggered fitment is it looks too weak.
The car is my beater as I drive a lot. And I wanted to keep miles off the Evo.. I picked up the car for $10k and the previous owner did not take the best of care.. The stock rims were curbed to ****. Like literally I don't know how someone could hit that many curbs haha. I'll post up a thread with a link when I'm done fitting the wheels.
Anyhow is love some VS XX wheels.. But I can't spend 30-40% of what I paid for the car on wheels lol. And did I mention I'm a poor college guy..
Anyway. I'm going to try the 265/30/20 in the front with a 20x10.5+12 and 20x10.5 +15 rear. With a 295/30/20. And get the front fenders pulled a bit if I have too.
Anyone run a 265/30/20 in the front without a whole lot of rub?
Any modifications I'll need to make?

The thing I don't understand is how half these guys can run 245-255 tires on a 10.5-11" rim and it not look HALF as stretched as the 255/35/20's I tried yesterday.. Doesn't make sense

Anyways, it also depends on what brand of tire you're running. Different brands stretch differently. You'll either get a true, large, or small stretch depending on the brand.
Myself, I am running 225/35/20 Toyo Extensa on my 20x9.5 in the front at a 0 offset with -1.6 degrees of camber in the front, toe is in spec. My rear tires is a 245/35/20 Yokohama S-Drive on a 20x10.5 at a 0 offset with -2.5 degrees of camber.
The Toyo Extensa stretches small, while my Yokohama S-Drive stretches true.
But I've also run a different set up before I decided to stance out my car a bit. Before I was +15 offset all around, 20x9.5 and 20x10.5 with Yokohama S-Drive 245/35/20 in the front and 275/30/20 in the rear. Here are pictures of both set ups.
Here is the +15 set up all around with camber and toe within specs:
And here is how she sits now, with -1.6 in the front and -2.5 in the back:
Here, Monard compiled this list in the wheels / tires sticky. It helped me, maybe it will help you.
some tires runs big some small some are true to size

Reading comprehension must escape you.
On top of Chris Black doing this, Levon ran 20x10.5 in the front of his Sedan too.
