G35 Coupe questions
Hi,
I just got my new G35, it's a 6mt aero, premium, DG/Graphite. Anyway, I did find one problem already the heated seat on the driver's side does not work, anyone else have this problem.
I also had a question about care, believe it or not my previous car I never washed it.
I was wondering what you guys/gals do to wash the car, and what types of chemicals you put on the wheels, tires, grill, interior etc.. to keep the car looking good..
I have to admit that the DG color looks a bit dull, i'm considering getting the wheels dipped in chrome to add some contrast..

A couple of the guys have reported that the switch wiring was reversed for the heated seats. IE-D/S switch controls P/S heat
If not that, then you have another issue.
My D/G (or Silverstone as it's called here in Canada) has a nice coat of Zaino(actually 6 coats) on it now. This has brought the colour out and made it look even more vibrant and alive.
I use Zaino show car wash concentrate. Works for me,
but there's many different products out there that will do a decent job.
There's a new product called Crystal Guard--one of this site's sponsors--- which is gaining popularity. If you click onto the ad in the left margin and in the Detail Forum you'll find info on that too..
Have a read in our Detail Forum. There's tons of tips in there for all sorts of detailing jobs.

First off congrats on the new ride.
I know some ppl have had their heated seats controls reversed so you may try that. I turned mine on the other day for about 5 minutes and didn't feel any heat either (had the car 3 days).
You may want to check out the "detail shop" section/forum for tips on washing your car. A lot of ppl say Zaino is the best, but i'm never tried it out.
Getting the wheels dipped in chrome can be pretty expensive, $750-$1000. It may be better just to go with aftermarket chrome 18s for about the same price as chrome dipping.

I'm getting some hubcentric spacers for the front to help clear the brembos and fill out the wheel well. Hopefully i'll have those by wednesday and the rims on by thurs.

No, those brembos stick pretty far out on the fronts and the spokes kinda curve back so that's where the problem is. it should all be fixed this week when i pickup the spacers from axis. i'll post pics then...
i recommend getting them from BIG H, he's real cool and easy to work with.....i don't mind if u get the same rims....they're really nice for the price.

i have the same problem with my seats, the passenger switch controls the driver seat and the driver switch does nothing. i've told my service department but i'm waiting till my first oil change to have it fixed. i think there are 2-3 other posts on this issue. get it looked after.
and the consensus is zaino, i've bought it but yet to put it on maybe next weekend
