I placed an order for an 05 g35 6mt about two months ago, at Warren Henry Infiniti (in north miami) and I was told the car will be out in late Dec or early Jan. Which confirms with what the website says. But last week I went by to take a look at the interior of the 05's in person and the same dealer told me the 6mt will not be out until march. Can this be true??? Has anyone heard different from other dealers??

Good ole Warren Henry Do you remember who exactly told you that? I am going to pay them a visit within the next couple of days and talk to my trusty salesperson there.

Someone just recently posted that 6MT production has been delayed, which hasn't been confirmed. It was supposed to start a day ago on the 22nd so that the cars could reach dealerships in approx. 8 weeks. I was last told by both Coconut Creek Infiniti and Broward Infiniti that 6MT would arrive in December/early January. No idea what's up with what they're saying at Warren Henry, hope it isn't true. I think it's actually speculation more than anything on their side. Dealers love to create all this hype.

 

Youre lucky you choose from dealers. Hedre in PR there's just ONE Infiniti dealer... The stories Ive heard are good so far, so lets see what happens.

 

The guys name is Paul, he seems like a nice guy, but its sounds fishy. Unless those rumors about delayed production are true

Well I talked to Andy who's the sales manager at Warren Henry and he informed me that 6MT are expected in late December. I did tell him about what you were told - he denied. Go figure

 

next week i'm gonna go to coconut creek infiniti and if they tell me i can get it in late dec. ima tell warren henry to refund my deposit and to kiss my @$$

Nissan factories in Japan are being forced to shut down for two weeks due to steel shortages. While some dealerships 6MT allocations will still be arriving early January, others will be delayed. My allocation was originally slated to arrive early January and now has been pushed back to the last week in January/First week in February.

It's all going to depend on how the first allocations were distributed based on the factory shutdown. Though I just read an article the other day how Nissan just closed a deal to increase their Steel supply from a Korean manufacturer so there shouldnt be any further delays.

However, March does sound a little fishy, When did your order get placed? If it was with the first 6mt orders in October then I would be a little worried if I was you, if it was placed later then he might be right if his dealership was not given many allocations. Needless to say, higher volume dealerships in southern, non-winter areas will be given priority.

 

I think I placed my order in mid September.
I understand that production might be delayed, but why would two different guys at one dealership say different things. And wouldn't the sales manager know more than just a regular salesmen.
